golden hour
just before the day turns into hazy clouds
I’ve been waiting for this kind of blue

how do we know we’ve had
enough time on this earth?

fading flowers
it’s just too much
but we are blooming worlds apart
we’re electrified by human touch

how do we know we’ve had
enough time on this earth?
time to fall
to write
to grow a turn in silence
and to hear you out
your terrors and your kindness
and to part our ways
with nothing on our shoulders
in the here and now we count
